Privacy Policy

Tukd ("we", "us") helps you organize screenshots using AI categorization and text extraction. We have tried to keep this policy plain and honest. By using Tukd you agree to it.

No Tracking, Ads, or Analytics

Tukd does not track you. The app contains no advertising, no ad networks, no third-party analytics or marketing trackers, and no cookies. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell your data or share it with data brokers.

1. Information We Collect

Account information — when you sign in with Apple or Google we receive a user identifier and, depending on your choice, your name and email address (Apple may provide a private relay email).
Content you add — the screenshots and images you import, text extracted from them via OCR, and the titles, descriptions, links, and collection names you create.
Minimal operational data — basic technical information needed to run the app reliably (for example, to keep you signed in and to load your content). We do not use this to build advertising or marketing profiles.

We do not ask for or intentionally collect special-category personal data. Please avoid importing screenshots containing information you do not want stored.

2. How We Handle Your Screenshots

Your screenshots are the heart of Tukd, so here is exactly what happens to them:

Storage — when you import a screenshot it is uploaded over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored in a private area tied to your account on our cloud provider (Supabase). Files are not public: access is restricted by per-user security rules so other users cannot open them, and they are shown back to you only through short-lived signed links that expire.
AI processing — to suggest a collection and extract the text, the image is sent securely to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), and used only to return that result. Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, your images and extracted text are not used to train AI models. Anthropic may retain them briefly — up to 30 days — for security and abuse monitoring, after which they are deleted.
What we do NOT do — we do not view your screenshots for any purpose other than operating the service, we do not use them for advertising or profiling, and we do not share or sell them.
Honest note on access — because Tukd stores your images on cloud infrastructure that we operate, our systems hold your files, and authorized personnel can technically access stored data where strictly necessary to run, secure, debug, or back up the service, or where the law requires it. We do not browse your content, and such access is limited and controlled. If you would rather not store something in the cloud, simply don't import it.
Deletion — you can delete any screenshot at any time, and deleting your account removes your stored images and associated data.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the service, including storing and syncing your collections and images.
To categorize your screenshots and extract text using AI, so you can search and organize them.
To respond to support requests and to keep the app secure and reliable.
To comply with legal obligations.

4. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers ("processors") that help us run Tukd, under agreements that limit their use of it:

Supabase — hosting, database, authentication, and secure file storage for your account, collections, and images.
Anthropic (Claude) — processes a screenshot you add to extract its text and suggest a collection, as described above; not used to train models.
Apple and Google — provide sign-in. We receive only the identity information described above.
Apple (App Store) — if you ever buy a subscription, Apple processes the payment. We never receive your card or payment details.

These providers may process and store data in the European Union and the United States. Where data is transferred internationally, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) apply.

5. Legal Bases (EU/EEA)

Where the GDPR applies, we process your data to perform our contract with you (to provide the service), on the basis of our legitimate interests (to keep the app secure and improve it), to comply with legal obligations, and, where required, with your consent.

6. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your collections, images, and associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain information to comply with the law.

7. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and object to certain processing. You can delete your content in the app, and you can request account deletion from Profile or by contacting us. If you are in the EU/EEA you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Denmark, Datatilsynet).

8. Children

Tukd is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and per-user access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
